Diwali is the festival of lights. In fact, the other name of Deepawali conceals its meaning that is a Sanskrit language word and meant the row of Diyas. Diyas are earthen lamps and are the traditional sources of light. This shows the importance of light on Diwali. The lights used on Diwali are both traditional as well as modern. The traditional sources of lights are earthen lamps that are made up of clay. These have been used since ages. These lights are cheaper and hence are even in the access to poor people. People use these earthen lamps by filling with oil or ghee as fuel and by inserting a wick into it. People buy numerous Diyas and lit them on the roof, around the house and on the way to their house. These can be placed at any location even at some distant place from your home. This is the biggest advantage of this source of light. The mobility of this source is such that people put them at the places that are in the ambiance of the house and have darkness. So these sources of light are amazing things for ordinary men.

Therefore people don’t have to do anything with the candles for making it ready for lighting. They just have to put at the place and lit with a matchstick. These candles are also used for illumination on Diwali. On the occasion of Diwali candles of different shapes and colors are available in the market. The designer candles are candles are beautiful. Some candles are molded in some deity’s shape; some are in shape of women. Different artistic candles can be found in the market. Aroma candles are also very popular during the festival season of Diwali that makes the atmosphere spiritual.

These have changed the lighting process and lighting effect on Diwali significantly. People love these lights very much because they give amazing lighting effects and also very durable and can last for years if kept carefully. These lights require only one-time investment.
