Pooja is performed four to five times during the whole night of Diwali. It starts from evening during evening oil is poured in all the earthen lamps already placed in front of Pooja Chouki on the Rangoli.

First of all, from the Pooja Thali Gangajal is offered in token of water to bathe. After that Kalawa and Lotus flower is offered as a token of clothes and seat. This Pooja program is performed by the newly wedded brides and girls of the family. On the other hand, the elderly lady in the house puts Tilak to all the male members and Bindi to all females and girls. After that, all delicious sweets placed in Pooja Thali are offered to Laxmi and Ganesha.

 

A small quantity of kheel and Batasha along with one or two pieces of sweets and fruits if sent to mandir. After that Prasad is distributed to all.
